Privacy Policy

MEDEV Studios ("we", "us", or "our") operates the CogGrid: Laser & Gear TD mobile game (the "App", package com.medevstudios.coggrid). This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to version 1.0.0 of the App and later.

CogGrid: Laser & Gear TD is a merge tower defense game: you merge energy cores, gears and lenses on a grid and route their power to the turrets on your castle wall to stop waves of robots. The App needs no account and works without an internet connection. It never asks for your name, email address, phone number or contacts.

The App saves the following in its private storage on your device:

• Chapter and wave progress, and a run you left unfinished (your grid, gold, chosen chapter rule and boosts) so you can resume it
• Gems, permanent castle and workshop upgrades, win streak and danger level
• Daily reward, daily quest, daily challenge and achievement progress
• Game statistics (such as robots destroyed and parts merged) and tutorial progress
• Settings: sound effect and music volume, vibration, language, graphics quality and notifications
• Your ad consent choice and how many rewarded ads you watched today (for the App's daily ad limits)

If Android backup is turned on, Android may copy this save data to your own Google account so it can be restored on a new device. We cannot access that backup.

The App shows rewarded video ads only, served by Google AdMob. An ad plays only when you tap an offer that says what it gives and choose to watch it, for example to unlock two extra grid tiles, to play three waves at double speed, to double the gold from a wave, to get a new set of boosts or to continue from a checkpoint after a defeat. There are no banner ads and no interstitial ads, every reward can also be earned without ads, and you can play the whole game without ever watching an ad.

When an ad is requested or shown, Google AdMob may collect the following to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud:

• Advertising ID (can be reset or deleted in your device settings)
• Device type and operating system version
• Approximate location derived from your IP address (not precise GPS)
• How you interact with ads, and diagnostic data

Ad content is limited to material rated for teen and older audiences. You can opt out of ad personalization at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads on some devices).

When the App crashes or runs into an error, it sends a report to Google's Firebase Crashlytics so we can find and fix the problem. A report contains:

• The error and where in the App's code it happened
• Device model, Android version and App version
• Free memory and storage at the time of the crash
• A random installation identifier created by Crashlytics
• A few facts about the game session: the chapter and wave being played, the chosen chapter rule and boosts, the danger level, the win streak, the language, the graphics quality level, and the last battles started, won or lost

Crash reports do not include your name, contact details or advertising ID. Google keeps them for up to 90 days. Crashlytics is used only to fix crashes and errors, not for analytics or advertising.

With your permission, the App can remind you when your daily reward is ready or when your castle has been waiting for a few days. These reminders are scheduled on your device and stay quiet at night; nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. You can turn them off under Notifications in the App's Settings or in your device's notification settings.

The following third-party services are integrated into the App:

• Google AdMob — Rewarded ads you choose to watch · Privacy Policy
• Google User Messaging Platform — Ad consent for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland · Privacy Policy
• Firebase Crashlytics — Crash and error reports · Privacy and Security in Firebase
• Google Play In-App Review — Lets you rate the App without leaving it; shown by Google Play at most a few times · Privacy Policy

We do not use Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDKs, marketing platforms or data brokers.

Gold, gems, boosts and other rewards in the App are earned through gameplay, daily rewards, quests and rewarded ads. They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

The App has no in-app purchases. If in-app purchases are ever added, all transactions will be processed through Google Play, and this policy will be updated first.

CogGrid: Laser & Gear TD is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. The App does not ask any user for personal information and does not require registration.

Because the App is not directed at children, its ad requests are not tagged for child-directed treatment; ad content is limited to material rated for teen and older audiences.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at info@medevstudios.com and we will help remove it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA, KVKK or similar laws:

• Delete your progress — Clear the App's data in your device's app settings, or uninstall the App
• Ads — Change your consent from Privacy Options in the App's Settings (EEA, UK and Switzerland); reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads in your device settings
• Notifications — Turn them off in the App's Settings or your device settings
• Request information — Contact us about any data processing related to the App

We do not keep personal data on our own servers, so there is no account for us to delete. Your game data lives on your device, where you control it. Requests about data held by the Google services above are best directed to Google; we will gladly help.

Game data on your device is protected by Android's app sandbox. The App only exchanges data over the internet when:

• Google AdMob loads and shows an ad you chose to watch, or Google's consent form is shown
• A crash or error report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics
• Google Play shows the in-app review prompt
• Android backs up the App's save data to your Google account (if device backup is turned on)

These connections are encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Changes are posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and significant changes are also noted in the App's release notes.
