Privacy Policy

MEDEV Studios ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Digital Nomad Tycoon mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use our App, how it is used, and your choices.

Digital Nomad Tycoon is an idle/tycoon simulation game. Your core game progress is stored locally on your device and does not require an account. Optional features such as cloud save, leaderboards, rewarded ads, and in-app purchases involve third-party services described below.

We collect the following categories of data, primarily through third-party SDKs:

• Analytics events — gameplay milestones, session length, feature usage, and purchase events (via Firebase Analytics). Firebase Analytics associates these events with an app-instance identifier and, where available, your device's advertising ID. We do not link them to your name or email address.
• Advertising identifiers — Google AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve relevant rewarded ads and measure ad performance.
• Purchase receipts — When you make an in-app purchase, Google Play processes the transaction and returns a purchase confirmation to the App, which uses it on your device to unlock the purchased content. The App does not send it to a server of ours. We do not receive your payment card details.
• Google account details (optional Cloud Save) — If you choose Sign in with Google to use Cloud Save, Firebase Authentication receives your Google account's basic profile, including your email address, and assigns you a user ID. Your game save, player name, and email address are then stored in Cloud Firestore under that user ID (see Section 03).
• Leaderboard display name — If you connect to Google Play Games Services, the App receives your Play Games display name and player ID, and your display name and score may appear on public leaderboards.

Apart from the Google account details described above, which are collected only if you use Cloud Save, we do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, precise location, or contacts.

Your game state — including balance, upgrades, settings, and progression — is saved locally on your device in the App's private storage (dnt_save_data). A few small preferences, such as your language and Nomad Pro status, are kept in the App's local web storage. This data:

• Stays on your device unless you sign in to Cloud Save (see below) or your device's Android backup includes it
• Is not accessible to MEDEV Studios
• Can be deleted with Wipe Save Data or Hard Reset in the App's Settings, by clearing App data in your device settings, or by uninstalling the App

Cloud Save (optional). If you sign in with Google in the App, your game save is uploaded to Google Cloud Firestore in our Firebase project, together with your player name, player level, device platform (Android or iOS), the time of the save, and the email address of your Google account. If your player name is still the default, the part of your email address before the "@" becomes your player name. Once you are signed in, the App saves automatically every 5 minutes and when you leave the App, and you can also save or load manually from your profile. To stop Cloud Save on a device, clear the App's data or uninstall the App. The in-app delete options remove only the data on your device; to have your cloud save and sign-in account deleted, contact us at info@medevstudios.com.

Android backup. The App allows Android's built-in backup. If backup is turned on for your device, your local save may be included in your device backup with Google and restored when you reinstall the App or set up a new device.

Digital Nomad Tycoon uses Google AdMob to display optional rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are strictly opt-in — an ad is only shown when you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game bonus (such as a temporary income boost). No ads are shown automatically or without your action.

Where consent is required (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the App asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before ads are loaded, and Google AdMob applies your choice.

Google AdMob may collect and use data as described in Google's Privacy Policy, including:

• Advertising ID (GAID) for ad personalization and frequency capping
• Approximate location (IP-based) for regional ad targeting
• App interaction signals for ad measurement

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how players interact with the game. This helps us identify bugs, balance gameplay, and improve the overall experience.

Firebase Analytics collects data such as:

• Session duration and frequency
• In-game events (e.g., upgrades purchased, cities traveled to, rebirth count, gem packs purchased, Nomad Pro subscriptions started)
• App version and device type, together with an app-instance identifier and, where available, your device's advertising ID
• Error reports (the type of error and a short error message); the App does not use Firebase Crashlytics

We do not link this data to your name or email address, including when you use Cloud Save. Firebase data is processed by Google according to their Privacy Policy.

Digital Nomad Tycoon offers optional in-app purchases (Gem packs) and a subscription (Nomad Pro) processed entirely through Google Play Billing. MEDEV Studios does not handle or store your payment information.

Google Play returns a purchase confirmation to the App, which uses it on your device to unlock the purchased content; the App does not send it to a server of ours. The fact that a purchase was made (which gem pack, or the subscription and its price) is also recorded in Firebase Analytics, as described in Section 05.

Subscription management (cancellation, upgrade, billing history) is handled through your Google Play account: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

All purchases are subject to Google Play Terms of Service.

The global leaderboard feature is powered by Google Play Games Services. If you connect your Google Play Games account:

• Your chosen gamer display name and avatar will be visible to other players on the leaderboard
• Your high score will be submitted to Google's servers
• Achievements you unlock in the game are recorded on your Google Play Games profile
• The App reads your Play Games display name and player ID, and uses your display name as your in-game player name if that is still the default
• You can manage or delete your Play Games profile at any time from the Play Games app

Leaderboard participation is completely optional. You can play the full game without connecting to Google Play Games.

We do not integrate Facebook SDKs, third-party marketing platforms, or data brokers.

Digital Nomad Tycoon is rated for ages 13+ on Google Play. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at info@medevstudios.com and we will take immediate steps to address it.

Depending on your region, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations:

• Delete local save data — Use Wipe Save Data or Hard Reset in the App's Settings, uninstall the App, or clear App data in Settings
• Opt out of ad personalization — Device Settings → Google → Ads
• Limit use of your advertising ID — Reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. The App does not currently offer a separate switch to turn off Firebase Analytics.
• Delete Play Games profile — Via the Google Play Games app
• Cancel subscription — Via Google Play → Subscriptions

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notice.
